Wanting to create a sneaker inspired by his hometown of Hawthorne, California and one that also could be used on and off a skateboard, skater Louie Lopez has collaborated with Converse to create the Louie Lopez x Converse CTAS Pro High.
Resembling the iconic Chuck silhouette, the sneaker has been upgraded to be a serious skateboarding shoe with traction engineered rubber for grip and durability. There is also the Lunarlon sockliner, similar to the Chuck II, which adds that extra level of comfort and will help absorb any hard landings while skating. The upper is made of premium suede, which gives the sneaker a nice luxurious style to it.
Perhaps most unique about the shoe is the map of Hawthrone on the back of the tongue. The city’s seal is in gold foil on the sockliner as well.
Available now, the Converse x Louie Lopez x Converse CTAS Pro Hi is for sale at select Converse retailers and online at Converse.
