BAPE Releases a Collaborative Capsule with Louis De Guzman Featuring a BAPE ROADSTA

Filipino-American visual artist Louis De Guzman teams up with BAPE to drop a new capsule that features apparel and the BAPE ROADSTA. De Guzman is widely recognized for his sculpture work and extends his expertise to a BABY MILO figure. Only 300 pieces of the miniature collectable were made, making the BABY MILO figure extremely rare. The figure features BABY MILO covered in geometric shards, sitting atop one of De Guzman’s “disruptor” shapes.

As for De Guzman’s BAPE ROADSTA, the sneaker compliments the capsule with contrasting shades of Grey throughout. The toebox and side panels are made with leather, while the toecap, eyestay, and heel counter opt for suede. The heel tab on the back is also made with suede, but this time in a shade of rich Indigo. Below the heel tab is De Guzman’s signature geometric identifier which also inspires BAPE’s iconic shooting star on the side. The rubberized star is finished with a geometric pattern that matches the insole.

The collaboration also includes a selection of t-shirts, outerwear pieces, and accessories all complete with De Guzman’s abstract geometric style and signature color palette that has become synonymous with his work.
