Markelle Fultz, the presumptive first overall pick in the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft, has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike that he announced on Twitter this weekend.
Following a reported visit to Nike World Headquarters in Beavertown, Oregon last week, the Washington Huskies product (by way of Maryland) took to social media to announce that he’d joined the Nike Basketball family. Terms of his deal have not yet been disclosed.
Fultz, if he indeed goes No. 1 in the draft, will be the third straight first overall pick signed by Nike, following both Ben Simmons and Karl Anthony Towns. The 2017 NBA Draft takes place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on June 22 on ESPN.
Blessed and thankful to become a part of the @nikebasketball family!!! #F2G
