Spurs’ forward and sandwich lover Matt Bonner had an unlikely event happen to him in the team’s recent game against Memphis. While guarding Zach Randolph, Bonner’s New Balance shoe came unglued with the outsole detaching from the upper. Bonner fouled Randolph to stop play and change shoes. He had this to say:
“I?ve been hoping Converse would come through with a shoe deal, but they haven?t, so I just kind of wear whatever. I?ve been wearing Converse and throwing in some New Balance, but they did not come through for me tonight.?
