2012’s #NIKELETTER by Matthew Walzer is a feel good story that Matt Halfhill and the Nice Kicks team are happy to be a part of. Today, we see the young man behind #NIKELETTER adding another chapter to the story by teaming up with Tobie Hatfield for the unveiling, story and release date for the Nike Zoom Soldier 8 Flyease.
Inspired by Matthew Walzer and his mission to make sneakers better suited for those with disabilities, all athletes will now have greater access to performance footwear thanks to his efforts. The Nike Zoom Soldier 8 Flyease introduces Flyease technology, which offers a progressive wrap-around closure system to better assist all in putting on their shoes.
Wear-tested by Matthew Walzer and given the stamp of approval by LeBron James, the shoe will be sent to two U.S. Basketball teams participating in this summer’s Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, set to take place from July 25th to August 2nd. The Nike Zoom Soldier 8 Flyease will release to the public in limited quantities on July 16 at Nike.
