It’s been nearly 25 years since Michael Jordan won his last NBA Championship, but the GOAT remains as prevalent as ever. With a game-changing career that revolutionized basketball, sportswear, fashion, sneakers, and beyond, a chance to celebrate the royal Airness should never go missed. Certified Sports Guaranty will be honoring MJ with the “Dynasty Collection,” a memorabilia series that will feature all six of Michael Jordan’s championship-clinching sneakers

For the Dynasty Collection, CSG confirmed that each shoe was worn by Jordan in the final games of the 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 1998 NBA Championships. The series is a lookback on the sneakers that led Michael Jordan to conqueror the competitive landscape of ’90s basketball. For his first ever NBA title, MJ wore the Air Jordan 6, which was inspired by his Porsche 911. When the Bulls battled their way back to another championship in 1996, MJ wore the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” on court. Come 1998, Jordan would wear the Air Jordan 14 “Last Shot” for his sixth and final NBA Championship. This sneaker was famously inspired by the Ferrari 550 Maranello.

“Even after examining the world’s most important collectibles for four decades, the Dynasty Collection had the power to take my breath away,” said Mark Salzberg, Chairman of the Certified Collectibles Group. “For the role these shoes play in our collective consciousness, how they relate to sports, fashion and celebrity, they are the contemporary Ruby Slippers, only rarer.”

In addition to all of these iconic game-winning sneakers, the Dynasty Collection also includes the Air Jordan 7 from 1992, which was the first Air Jordan sneaker without Nike branding. Other highlights from the series include the the Air Jordan 8 from 1993 and the Air Jordan 12 from 1997.

“CSG was honored and thrilled to be entrusted to certify the authenticity and provenance of the Dynasty Collection,” said Andy Broome, Vice President of CSG. “Evaluating the sneakers — the innovative designs, the quality of materials, the scuffs and scratches accumulated on the court — and pouring over the game photos took me back to that incredible era when Jordan and the Bulls ruled the sports world.”

During the authentication routine, CSG worked with other third-party photo-matching experts and documented the process. The high-resolution images with 360-degree views of the shoes will be available to view on the CSG website.
