This Saturday, the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” returns as a retro for only the second time. While the shoe will likely see more wear off the court than on the court this time around, it was Michael Jordan’s hardwood heroics in 1991 that helped make this pair a classic.
Following up his first title win in the Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared, Michael Jordan kicked off the 1991-92 season by debuting the “Carmine” colorway of the AJ6. This concept was a running theme for the Air Jordan franchise, as MJ would rock one more makeup of his past season’s signature before debuting his new model for the holiday season.
