Michael Jordan, in just a matter of 12 months, has gone from wealthy multi-millionaire to worldly billionaire. According to Forbes’ 2018 billionaires list, Jordan cracks the ranks for the very first time by adding $350 million to his net worth in 2017.
By in large thanks to Jordan Brand and his majority ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets, Jordan’s net worth surged in 2017 given his companies’ steady growth and the Hornets huge uptake in valuation. Jordan, who owns roughly 90% of the Hornets, saw the teams value jump 35 percent to $1.05 billion since February 2017.
Jordan now ranks as the 1,477th wealthiest person in the world. He’s up 90 spots from 2017. In the U.S., his current rank is number 455.
