The 97-98 Bulls were banged up. Not only were they without Pippen for the start of the season but Jordan was also playing with torn ligaments in his ring finger on his shooting hand. The effects could be seen on his open hand release and lack of 3 point attempts. It didn’t slow him in the first round as he swept a John Calipari coached Nets bringing out the broom on Kerry Kittles and the rest of the roster going 16-22 from the field.
