These two Chuck Taylor Hi-tops are the result of work between high-end clothier, Missoni, and Converse. Each Chuck’s canvas is stamped with Missoni’s trademark zigzag pattern. The patterns are colored in with hues that coincide with Missoni’s Fall/Winter 2010 Men’s collection. The Chucks retain their white rubber toe cap and sole but do lose the common black foxing stripe encompassing the midsole. Angela Missoni, the brand’s Creative Director, is quoted for choosing the Chuck Taylor because “…it’s the one that girls and boys of all times have liked to wear and is still the coolest today.” The Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is scheduled for an April release and will be price marked at $200. The shoe’s availability will be limited to the Missoni stores in New York and Beverly Hills, Jeffrey in New York and Atlanta, and a handful of international boutiques. |
