Friends: how many of us have them? Before Mark Zuckerberg allowed us to count and leverage them, Mister Rogers was making them in real life in his own neighborhood.
One of those friends happened to be Buzz Wagner, and he had a shoe store. A mom and pop shop in the truest sense, Mister Rogers went sneaker shopping at Wagner’s Shoe Store where Buzz found out what he was feeling and what he was not.
Polite and polished, the man with a cardigan and imagination stepped out of the box to check out shoes not for him at first, playing make believe to as which of his friends would wear what. Not to worry, he got his. Getting measured by his buddy Buzz, Neighborhood Fred got the tour of the stockroom, eventually cashing out on a pair and even walking out of the store wearing them.
What’d he cop? Watch the video below to find out. For more modern Sneaker Shopping with our guy JLP, click here.
