MJ had already won three championships in a row, retired to play baseball and come back to win a fourth title by the time he faced the Miami Heat on November 6, 1996. In the championship run the previous year, the Bulls swept the Heat. Therefore, it was supposed to be a “revenge game” for the Heat, but Jordan started the game scoring the Bulls’ first 11 points, and went on to score 50, including a nearly half-court shot to end the first half. Needless to say, the Bulls went on to win back-to-back titles that season.
