Harlem native and Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba today inks a sneaker endorsement deal with Under Armour. Bamba, who attended a Nike school in the University of Texas, signs a multi-year deal with the Baltimore-based sportswear brand.

Bamba, taken sixth overall by the Magic in the 2018 NBA Draft lottery, reportedly took meetings with Nike, adidas and the newly restored PUMA Basketball division before deciding on Under Armour. It was widely considered by most that Bamba would sign with UA when he began to wear their sneakers near the close of the 2018 NBA preseason.

During his one year at the University of Texas, Bamba was a force in the Big 12 averaging 12.9 points per game, 10.4 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per contest. Mo was widely considered the best big man in the country.

Bamba is expected to start at center for the Magic this season.
