They were on sale at this little low-key store out in the suburbs at Oakland Mall in Michigan. They’d been off the market for a long time and they were on sale for like $35. This was before people were rocking retros, before they were re-releasing all the old, classic kicks. They were just chilling in the storage room. I got a lot of compliments on those because people hadn’t seen them in so long.”
