Copenhagen retailer Naked affirms its partnership with adidas by way of a budding women’s exclusive. There are never truly enough women’s exclusives. This one is welcome as it births a budding silhouette designed by the Scandinavian brand.
Tilted the Magmur Runner, the shoe highlights a very apparent ’90s aesthetic seen through bulky framing and retro branding. Reflective detailing rounds the angular style which comes in clean white and beige iterations. Moreover, an adiPRENE insert cushions the sole while leather base construction meets mesh overlays to close.
“We wanted to create a sneaker unlike any other, so we traversed an extensive range of basketball and running silhouettes to derive the best design elements we could find,” Naked’s Creative Director, Stine Pedersen, spoke. “This was about elevating the current chunky sneaker aesthetic – an evolution of the dad shoe that’s distinguishable as a Naked creation.”
The adidas Magmur Runner drops on March 16 for $150.
