The NBA is back! After a 149-day lockout, the NBA owners and the NBAPA have finally reached a tentative agreement. Specifically, news about an agreement between both sides surfaced early Saturday morning after a meeting that lasted more than 15 hours yesterday.
“We want to play basketball,” NBA commissioner David Stern said.
The NBA commissioner also stated that it was “subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations, but we’re optimistic that will all come to pass and that the NBA season will begin Dec. 25.”
The planned 66-game season is scheduled to tip off on Christmas Day with games such as the Boston Celtics at New York Knicks, the Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks and the Chicago Bulls at the Los Angeles Lakers.
Who else has been impatiently waiting for the return of the NBA season and the next NBA edition of Kicks On Court?
