In an unlikely partnership, American sport ball maker NERF and Reebok Basketball have teamed up on a collection of retro hoops silhouettes.
Picture this: it’s 2000 and you’re shooting a NERF basketball emulating your favorite players Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal. That instance, for many children, were categorized as significant portions of their upbringing. For NERF and Reebok Basketball, bringing back that nostalgic feeling was important with this upcoming collection.
The collection will feature a colorful selection: the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II “Light Jammer,” the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II “Big Bad Backboard,” the Kamikaze II “Backboard Breaker,” and the Kamikaze II Low “Backboard Breaker.” Each sneaker will feature NERF branding along the tongue and elsewhere, while also featuring a colorful arrangement along a black leather upper.
The NERF x Reebok Basketball Collection will release in limited quantities exclusively through Reebok UNLOCKED and then release globally on June 25 through Reebok.com, with each sneaker retailing between $110-$160. A blast from the past, be sure to check out official campaign images below.
