Mark your calendars as the New Balance 1700 will be returning this Summer in a Japan-exclusive colorway.
The Nippon-exclusive gem originally debuted a decade ago, and now returns in true OG form. The upcoming sneaker utilizes its Made in USA counterpart as a base, while tooling remains relatively low-key. Dressing the sneaker’s mostly grey palette are striking metallic gold accents found on the heel embroidery, tongue tab, outlining the “N” insignia, and dressing the dubraes. Additionally, navy leather paneling at the toe and vamps helps to break up the dark shades of grey. Rounding out the overall look is a multi-faceted rubber outsole.
Unfortunately, these New Balance 1700 will release exclusively in Japan on July 10 for ¥16,000 JPY (approximately $150 USD).
