Where to Buy New Balance 57/40

newbalance.com

New Balance are wasting no time to show their intentions in 2021 after unveiling their latest upcoming model, the New Balance 57/40. Combining aspects from different models, this newly introduced silhouette provides a strong visual impact straight from the off. Alongside the borrowed aspects, NB finds a retro-inspired aesthetic in a future ready shoe – we’re already imagining up new colorways.

The New Balance 57/40 is a fresh interpretation of the iconic 574 model and a nod to the 5xx franchise. A classic for more than three decades, the New Balance 574 has been one of the industry’s most revered sneakers and today is one of the brands most iconic silhouettes. With the release of the 57/40, New Balance offers the most expressive silhouette within the 574 family.

With uppers made from a collaboration of mesh, leather & suede, these shoes scream comfort as loud as their colorways. With the same multi-colored construction around the shoe, the difference between the first two versions is in the base. One has a White base while the other has a Black base – both feature an oversized N logo like the 327. The mesh tongues of the models are topped by a multi-colored NB logo, using the same colors around the shoe. The bronze suede heel cup sits below a bright green tab, joining the uppers to sit on an intriguing sole. A double-stacked sole draws inspiration from the 574, though introduces more of a trail-vibe to its old-school cousin.

The pair is set to drop this weekend for $120 on the New Balance website as well as select retailers. Starting off with these two introductory colorways, we’re excited to see what’s to come from the brand this year. Until they drop, enjoy some official images of the new silhouette below and let us know if you’re copping. As always, keep focused on Nice Kicks for all the latest!
