New Balance tapped Teddy Santis as Creative Director for their inaugural 990 “Made In USA” Collection and the New England-based footwear brand and Aime Leon Dore founder are running it back for Season 2, focusing on designs that showcase NB’s history, heritage, and craftsmanship through elevated material stories and new, yet familiar color stories built to become uniform staples.
“We’re excited to further showcase the heritage and craftsmanship that is New Balance Made in USA. I’m proud to continue our on-going partnership and highlight the rich history of this category and continue to push the brand’s momentum further through seasonal campaigns and stories that have yet to be told,” says New Balance Made in USA Creative Director Teddy Santis.
“This collection is inspired by the beauty of nature and our favorite outdoor activities and gear. The content illustrates the inspiration for the range and the craftsmanship that goes into the footwear and apparel.” says Mike Meloski, Senior Product Manager MADE in USA at New Balance.
The first drop of the footwear collection features the 990V1, 990V2, and 990V3, with the colorway taking inspiration from an OG colorway of the New Balance 576. Made in the US and using premium materials and construction, tan mesh is used on the base of the sneakers with grey and cream suede overlays throughout as well as navy accenting, fitting the fall aesthetic.
The New Balance 990 “Made In USA” Season 2 Collection is set to drop on October 27th via newbalance.com and at select retailers with footwear ranging from $190-$200 with apparel ranging from $64-$180.
