Coming into the 2011 NBA Draft, one of Kawhi Leonard’s biggest knock was his jumpshot. Needless to say that he’s worked on that aspect of his game and is pretty much cash from midrange and this “New Money” colorway of the New Balance KAWHI is inspired by the C-Note.
The “New Money” is the successor to the New Balance OMN1S “Money Stacks” that took inspiration from dollar bills and continues the currency-based theme. The upper is dressed in a light blue engineered mesh with suede and TPU overlays on the toe. “100” is printed on the tongue in gold with gold detailing further down the tongue and the quarter panel. Navy blue is used on the laces and liner, with a light blue external heel counter with a gold “NB” logo. The KAWHI uses Fuelcell cushioning in the midsole with a shank plate for extra stability.
The New Balance KAWHI “New Money” is set to drop on July 1st on Newbalance.com for $160. Check out the photos below and in other New Balance news, a Forest Green 550 is on the way.
