The New Balance M996 is being retroed in an original colorway very soon, and only one spot will carry the sneaker. Fred Segal in Santa Monica will release 47 pairs of the sneaker on Thursday, May 13th.
At over 20 years old, this M996 has truly withstood the test of time. This pair is returning in its original glory, meaning it could be the only thing in Fred Segal next week that hasn’t “had some work done.” Grey suede and mesh combine on the upper, resting on an ENCAP heel. 3M reflective material surrounds the N logo along both sides, which was a first for the Boston brand at the time that we continue to see to this day.
