Originally released back in 1982, the New Balance HL710 Rainier was a pivotal hiking silhouette with lifestyle specifications and technological advancement of its times. Now, the model is being remastered and re-released this fall.
A foundational New Balance concept with help by renowned climber Lou Whittaker back in the early 80’s, the shoe broke new ground for outdoor footwear. This modern iteration of the New Balance Rainier evolves through full grain leather and ballistic nylon atop the upper. A pigskin liner ensures the proper comfort for any situation while a Vibram outsole exacts great footing. Moreover, they’ve added a GORE-TEX coating for waterproofing.
