New Balance has broken barriers to what an ordinary sneaker brand does by doing countless collabs, reaching out to young innovators like Darius Bazley, and now going beyond borders with Francisco Lindor.
Mr. Smile of the Cleveland Indians pays homage to his home of Puerto Rico with the New Balance Cypher Run “La Familia” Pack.
The Cypher Run features NB’s full-length REVlite midsole, a bootie construction tongue, heathered collar lining, and a nubuck and knitted mesh upper for breathability around the wear and tear areas.
The multicolor pattern on the heel counters represents a lot more than meets the eye. The yellows play on the sunny days in Puerto Rico, the red, white, and blues hint at the Puerto Rican Flag, and the green and browns reflect on his early days playing on the baseball field.
