Wanting to raise awareness for the Tackle Kids Cancer initiative, the New York Red Bulls warmed up in specially designed cleats before their match against Toronto FC on Saturday.
Every single player wore a different and unique pair of cleats as they each teamed up with pediatric cancer patients from the New York City metro area to create their own individual designs. Artist Jessie Kavana then took these player/patient designs and painted each player’s boot according to the collaborative design.
