Pip Goes V.I.P.
All ‘Mike made Scottie’ loudmouths were collectively shut up over the course of the ’93-’94 season. Scottie Pippen proved to be a legitimate stand alone star, carrying Chicago during MJ’s baseball sabbatical. While Scottie averaged roughly 22 points, nine boards, six dimes and three steals over the course of the year, it was Pip’s 1994 NBA All-Star MVP performance that highlighted his showcase season, paving the way for his first of three straight All-NBA First Team nods. His ruby red Nike Air Maestro II sneakers will always be remembered.
