Each Saturday, the Nice Kicks teammates choose their favorite pair of kicks from the preceding week in our Staff Picks column. With all the great shoes we see, deciding on one as our favorite is always a challenge. Nonetheless, before we can begin our weekly feature for 2011, we have to review all of 2010, and make our own individual top ten lists. Which shoes did our team like the best? Check the entire list and then head to the comments section and let us know what you liked best from the past 365 days.

10. Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III “The Cove”
Ronnie went in on this shoe using a shade of blue that the Asics didn’t even have on its color charts. A great shoe with an amazing colorway.
9. Star Wars x adidas Originals “Skywalker”
When adidas first brought back this shoe, they called it the ‘SW’ for legal reasons, but for this new round the Three Stripes teamed with Lucas. With that guy on board, the original name was fair game. The Force is strong with this one.
8. Cody Hudson x Converse Product(RED) Chuck Taylor
Sometimes you don’t need a theme or a color palette never used before to make a classic. Excellent materials, solid colors, and a very hard pair to chase down. Props to Converse First String.
7. Nike Air Max 2010 “Air Attack” Neon
Two words: neck-breaker.
6. Air Jordan 1 “AJKO”
This sneaker was one of the classics you thought would never return but did. I loved that these were not everywhere and that they were not easily accessible to every mall rat in America. This drop reminded me of the good ol’ days of chasing kicks.
5. Burn Rubber x New Balance MT580
This was Burn Rubber’s first footwear collaboration, but this will definitely not be its last. The Detroit-based team killed it on these MT580s and made one of the greatest colorways of all time on this classic silhouette.
4. Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey”
It was great to see this classic return, but I was a little bummed about the blue tinted soles. Imagine if these got the clear treatment and the Silver Anniversary’s got the blue soles? #imjustsayin
3. Parra x Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Premium
Seriously, you just need to read the first two names on the line above and there is a damn good chance the shoe is going to be something epic.
2. Nike Air Max LeBron VII “All-Star”
Insane color, insane materials, insane execution. Admit it, you liked LeBron before The Decision too.
1. Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach”
The must-have of the year.
