Over the weekend, Nicki Minaj played dress up and host at the 2014 MTV EMAs, rocking the stage in an impressive ten different outfits. While each get-up turned heads and drew eyes, the most impressive from a sneaker standpoint was her Alexander Wang dress inspired by the classic adidas Stan Smith.
As you may recall, Wang made headlines in September for his sneaker-inspired Spring 2015 Collection. Minaj’s dress was one of a few pieces that took notes from the Stan Smith, seen most strikingly by the dress’s clean white body and fairway green collar. While Nicki did not elect to pair this piece with an actual pair of Stans, you can catch her sporting the springy look in the photos below.
