The Nike Air Flight 89 has transcended the court. The shoe features similar tooling to that Air Jordan 4 and even carries the same midsole and outsole as the Air Jordan 3 as the pair was initially designed for Michael Jordan. The Flight 89 was worn heavily by the likes of Scottie Pipper, Reggie Miller, and Chris Mullin. Past its performance peak, the Flight 89 was worn by Kanye West during his Swoosh days and created a demand for the silhouette.

The shoe has reappeared in OG form and a handful of other colorways since 2019. This upcoming colorway pays homage to the Seattle Supersonics. The all-white upper and hints of green and yellow bode similarity to the team’s home jerseys towards the end of their time in the NBA. The collar, eyelets, and part of the midsole feature some black as well.

Take an official look at the pair below as we await official release information. As a reminder, #BringBackOurSonics.
