Two originators of Nike’s famed Huarache design are returning in original form. 23 years after the neoprene-based build was born, the Nike Air Flight Huarache and Nike Air Trainer Huarache are brought back around in carbon copies. One of the brand’s first efforts to slim down a silhouette to give athletes only what they need to perform and nothing more, the Huarache construction combines the functionality of South American sandals with the fit of neoprene waterski boots. The glove-like fit was game-changing at the time, and still remains relevant today.
