Following the recent trend that was started by Christian Louboutin, Nike’s most iconic sneaker is getting the metal treatment on the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown Hi Spike. A black on black high-top AF1 is given a patent leather swoosh and ankle strap, with silver spikes on the toe box and heel. The prickly detailing has spread across the fashion globe, appearing on everything from shirts and pants to purses and hats; but the original idea came from what Louboutin was known for… shoes.
