Nike continues to go into the archives as the brand is bringing back the Nike Air Griffey Max 2 as the mid-summer classic makes its way to the Pacific Northwest for the first time since 2001.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 2 Cleat “All-Star” is rumored to be the first of multiple colorways as Ken Griffey Jr.’s second signature shoe from 1997 will bring back nostalgia from Nike’s late ’90s golden era. However, it’s unclear if the upcoming releases will be in cleat form or not.
The “All-Star” dedicated colorway features a light bone, white, and hemp upper with clear jade details on the carbon fiber heel counter and forefoot Swoosh. Additionally, Griffey’s Swingman logo is on top of the shoe’s full-length Max Air cushioning.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 2 “Light Bone” is available now for $150 on Nike.com and select retailers.
