Later this month Ken Griffey Jr., aka “The Kid,” will be immortalized among baseball elite forever. On Sunday, July 24, Griffey will be inducted into baseball’s hall of fame, recognizing his heroics with the greatest in the history of the sport.
To celebrate, Nike is set to re-release the famed Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Freshwater,” which, by many estimates, is his best signature style and colorway. Nike will also release new colorways of the Griffey Max 1 in accordance with this achievement.
The release can be had on July 7 via SNKRS for $150.
