The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 holds a nostalgic value to a lot of sneakerheads and baseball fans. There was a time when Ken Griffey, Jr. was on pace to be the greatest player ever. A series of injuries would limit his potential, but he nonetheless remains a legend, as do his signature shoes. Now that he’s back with the Seattle Mariners, it’s only appropriate that we see another colorway done in the team’s colors. Grey is used for the majority, mixing leather throughout the upper with nubuck on the mudguard and toe. Teal is also used on all the Swooshes and the lace loops. A white midsole and black outsole complete the colorway. No word on when these will arrive stateside, but they are currently available at kinstor. |
