Nike’s Air Max 1 “Shima Shima” Set to Make Its Triumphant Return This Year

For 2023, Nike will be revisiting its lauded Japanese-inspired “Shima Shima” pack which initially dropped in 2003 and included an Air Max 1, Air Trainer 1, and Dunk High.

Just in time for its 20^th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 1 “Shima Shima” updated for 2023 will feature a similar design, albeit a hybrid of the two original colorways boasting neutral tones of brown, grey, and white. Further elevating 2023’s Nike Air Max 1 “Shima Shima” is the striped sock liners and Japanese-themed tongue tag.
