The Nike Air Max 2090 Builds for the Future with Nod to the Past

This Air Max Day is all about the Nike Air Max 90 as the Swoosh celebrates the shoe’s 30th anniversary. Through the years, the silhouette has evolved into a work of art thanks to the multitude of colorways and collabs that have built  the shoe’s repertoire that transcend sport, streetwear and fashion. The pearl anniversary of the Air Max 90 is being topped off with the introduction of the all-new Nike Air Max 2090 that blends the heritage of the AM90 with a futuristic flare that is years ahead of its time — just like the OG Air Max 90.

The Nike Air Max 2090 features rubber details on the heel and midsole as the new model holds 200% more Air than the original AM90 unit. In addition to that, the shoe features other components that keeps the pair light and as comfortable as ever. The shoe features a synthetic overlay and a translucent mesh layer for breathability. A full length exposed Cushlon foam, similar to that of the Nike Pegasus line, helps reduce weight while prioritizing flexibility.
