A Dystopian Look Lands On The Nike Air Max 90 Futura

The Futura series from Nike offers a futuristic twist to the Nike Air Max 90. This time the footwear label adds neutral and muted tones to even out its dystopian design.

The offering arrives in a grey scale base with summit white on the top half of the uppers. Apart from its neutral color scheme, the silhouette mixes deconstructed and futuristic motifs throughout its base, as seen on the Nike Checks, eyelets, and overlays. Instead of traditional labeling on the heel, the shoe opts for a single Check on the left shoe and “air” inscribed on the right heel. For the finishing touches, the base rests atop a rubber sole.
