Nike’s sustainability initiatives have started coming into fruition. From the Space Hippie collection to their Crater foam sneakers, it’s evident that the Swoosh has set their sights on recycled material footwear construction. This time, the Nike Air Max 90 NRG is set to undergo a more sustainable production.
From first glance, it’s apparent that the famous Air Max silhouette is constructed differently. Recycled yarn overlays sit atop the white mesh upper, while a red yarn Swoosh streaks across sneaker’s mid-section. Further adding to the production scale, the insoles are made up of recyclable materials. Small hits of lime green are featured on the “Air Max” branding. Splashes of “Court Purple” round up the design.
The Nike Air Max 90 NRG “Court Purple” looks to release in during the month of October at select retailers and Nike.com for $150.
