The sole swap on the Nike Air Max 96 retro earlier this year threw many Swoosh purists for a loop. The same will likely be said for the newly released Air Max 96 II XX, which highlights an updated sole unit differing from the original model.
Aside from the change at the midsole tooling, the Nike Air Max 96 II XX remains otherwise remains intact. The ballistic mesh upper sees leather overlays with both the large Swoosh and miniature version in traditional positioning. Visible Air is of course seen below the base while a nubuck heel counter closes the look.
