Now that all the original Air Max 97 colorways have been released and accounted for, Nike is getting creative with upcoming pairs. Instead of re-releasing re-releases, they’re altering them just enough so that coveted OGs appear new again.
Here, Nike utilizes the “Silver Bullet” as a creative canvass. Keeping with its grey base, they’ve swapped out the red accents for blue ones. It’s a subtle yet effective change, and can fill a very specific void if you don’t own the proper OG.
Pairs of this Nike Air Max 97 “Alternate” are available now overseas at JD Sports. A wider release is expected to follow soon.
