Nike’s Air Max 97 “Set To Rise” Channels the Chinese Philosophy

For its latest Air Max 97 release, Nike is channeling the Chinese philosophical concept of Yin and Yang.

Joining what is believed to be a larger themed series is this Nike Air Max 97 “Set To Rise” GS that honors the duality of man. The pair sports a bevy of colors, textures, and finishes that are both complementary and interdependent. The sneaker’s signature wave pattern overlays are constructed from leather and suede and are dressed in hues of pastel blue, yellow, and oranges with added reflective 3M layers. Final details include the Yin-Yang motifs on the tongue tabs, the milky-translucent outsoles, along with the “SET TO RISE” emblazoned insoles.
