Back at one, the Nike Air Max 98 “University Red” sports a color code similar to that of the OG AM from ’87. White leather, red mesh and grey nubuck allude to the famous introductory Air Max in concept, but don’t feel like a convened colorway. A wavy 3M strip dates this model to other mid to late ’90s models from the Swoosh, while big Air bags and aggressive lines also stay true to the era.
