The Nike Air Max 1 marked a key point in the historical progression of sneaker comfort, and now the iconic silhouette is integrating even more cushioning technology to create the Nike Air Max Lunar1. Although the timeless model from 1987 has received a number of alterations on its upper, the midsole has pretty much stayed consistent. Leaving out its recognizable ridges, Lunarlon foam is found in the midsole for a double dose of cushioning. Seen here in a classic AM 1 colorway, the chilling red and white upper is taped with lightweight materials for a performance upgrade. Get a closer look at this revised icon below via Crooked Tongues, tell us what you think of the combination in the feedback space underneath and watch for the Air Max Lunar1 to hit retail on June 27th.
