Few hoopers have a sneaker resume as impressive and interesting as Chris Webber. A nationally known high school phenom a decade before King James rose from Akron, C Webb was rocking heat in the Mitten at Detroit Country Day and at the University of Michigan. His hard work and high heat would result in him getting his own signature sneaker in the form of the Nike Air Max Sensation.
Peep the OG Black/White-Red pair below.
Originally dubbed the ‘Air Max CW’ the shoe’s high price point that rivaled that of Michael Jordan’s model on the market was enough to make the prodigal power forward leave Nike for a winding road of endorsement that saw FILA, Converse, DaDa, Reebok and even Air Jordan get on court love.
Lucky for C Webb fans, his first kicks are reported to come back.
According to House of Heat, the Air Max Sensation could return in 2020.
While the shoe has returned in OG takes over the years, the Black/White-Red rendition is assumed to lead the charge – a color scheme not seen in more than a minute. Keep it locked for details and click here for the history of the Air Max Sensation.
