The Nike Air Max Sweep Thru was first spotted on the feet of Amar’e Stoudemire at the Nike Basketball Amar’e Stoudemire Skills Academy in late June. Supposedly, S.T.A.T and a few other Nike Basketball brand members will lace this shoe up during next season if there is one. It features an enlarged velcro strap construction similar to the Nike Air Raid, a classic basketball sneaker that surfaced in the ’90s. This particular pair features a predominately black base with minimal aqua accents such as the Swoosh, tongue border and a small section on the outsole. The Nike Air Max Sweep Thru Black/Aqua? is now available at select Nike retailers nationwide.
