As Nike prepares to release its 2017 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection next month, we continue to breakdown the offering piece by piece. Right now we’re looking at the Air Max Thea Ultra Flyknit.

Created by 11-year old Amyiah Robinson of Portland, Oregon yet a native of Oklahoma, Amyiah placed both a state map of Oklahoma and one of Portland on the insoles of her shoe in an ode to staying true to one’s roots. The heel features her name above a heart with angel wings which represents her mother – her guardian angel.

Look for the Nike Air Max Thea Ultra Flyknit “Doernbecher” starting November 18 at SNKRS.
