Nike Redesigns Classics with the Upcoming Air Max TW 1 “Racer Blue”

Nike knows how to redesign classics with their extensive roster of silhouettes. For the Nike Air Max TW 1, the Swoosh digs into the archives yet again, calling upon the Air Max Plus and Air Max Tailwind for inspiration.

While past Air Max designs have always incorporated curvature within their structure, the Nike Air Max TW 1 decides to go for the inverse with sharp linework. Yet underneath the standout lines, the sneaker still makes room for the wavy details of the past with soft blue lines that nod to previous models. Around the mesh quarters, the sneaker features white leather overlays. The tongue is made with thick white mesh and features Air Max TW branding on the tongue tab. Elsewhere, the sneaker has a yellow Swoosh on the forefoot to match the rest of the sneaker’s yellow accents. The extended midsole features two large yellow-tinted Air bubbles and is complete with a blue mudguard.
