Much like Scottie Pippen’s career, his signature shoes were long overshadowed by his legendary teammate. But for those who paid attention to the Air Pippen line, there were many top-notch signature models. And for this Summer, Nike has combined some of them to create this hybrid, the Nike Max A Lot. You’ll immediately notice the Nike Air More Uptempo‘s “AIR” large across the side, which for some reason has been done in Rastafarian colors. The midsole “stripe” stems from the Nike Air Pippen II. Again, it’s been done in a Rasta-inspired yellow and green gradient. Black patent leather finishes the upper, while a full length injected Phylon midsole also exposes a visible Air Max unit. The outsole’s grip pattern is also modeled after a number of Flight shoes. This model starts hitting retailers for $88 in multiple colorways in April. |
