With the Nike Air Command Force coming back in short order, I took a trip down memory lane to remember some of the other great shoes of the era. Nike Basketball was late to the game with the pump systems in their shoes following Reebok’s lead, but that does not mean that Nike’s game was chump-like though.
The Nike Air Pressure was Nike’s first foray into air pumps built into shoes and came with a detached hand pump to air up the kicks. While this shoe has inspired some shoes by Nike including the Nike Air PR1, the shoe has never returned in its original form. If the Command Forces could fight through the red tape, could these? Time will tell.
