Marketing Effects

The Air Presto would have a brilliant marketing campaign led by Nike’s marketing arm, Weiden & Kennedy. Building upon the 13 different colorways, such SKUs elicited descriptive names such as Unholy Cumulus, Shady Milkman, Rabid Pand and Orange Monk, just to name a few. These innovative commercials would be very prominent as the animated characters would subsequently become a hit.
